What is ICITP Accreditation?
ICITP accreditation evaluates and certifies the quality and relevance of ICT degree programmes offered by Higher Education Institutions in South Africa. It ensures graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the IT profession.
Accreditation provides assurance to students, employers, and the public that the programme meets the professional standards set by the ICT industry and aligns with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) framework.

Accreditation Process
Application
Higher Education Institution submits an application for programme accreditation to ICITP.
Self-Evaluation
The institution completes a comprehensive self-evaluation report against ICITP accreditation criteria.
Panel Review
An independent accreditation panel reviews documentation and conducts a site visit to the institution.
Decision
The Accreditation Committee reviews the panel's findings and makes a formal accreditation decision.
Monitoring
Accredited programmes are monitored periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with standards.
